News from Vinyl Junkie
Vinyl Junkie is open from 5th January 2024
If you are a fan of late `80s Goth band, The Gathering, you`ll be thrilled and excited about the news of a hyper-limited-edition vinyl pressing of The Gathering’s only full-length album. Comprising no less than seven tracks, this exciting reveal, titled In the End, is a labour of love that’s taken the better part of 23 years to realise. With bespoke, beautiful artwork and design from Charl Kruger, the man responsible for all The Gathering’s creative since day one, to the exquisitely remastered tracks painstakingly produced by Paul Riekert of Battery 9 fame, and an Ashton Nyte mix of “Perfect Souls”, this album promises to fill the gaps left after the band went their separate ways back in the day. The band will be manufacturing 300 copies of the album and you can be part of this epic release by pre-ordering your copy -contact Jason Curtis via email – jason@matters.co.za, he will fill you in with all the information and send you the requisite banking details for payment. With each order received and paid, the band will immediately share the tracks with each purchase as MP3s, along with the artwork and sleeve notes. Spread the word to anyone you may know who would appreciate owning a slice of South African post-punk, goth-fuelled history.
Vinyl Junkie will be closed on Youth Day 16th June but will reopen on Saturday 17th June at 9am.
